Diriwayatkan daripada Abu Hurairah r.a katanya: Seorang lelaki telah datang berjumpa Rasulullah s.a.w lalu bertanya: Siapakah orang yang paling berhak untuk aku layani dengan sebaik-baiknya?. Rasulullah s.a.w bersabda:
Ibumu. Beliau bertanya lagi: Kemudian siapa?. Rasulullah s.a.w
bersabda: Kemudian ibumu.
Beliau terus bertanya: Kemudian siapa?. Rasulullah s.a.w bersabda:
Kemudian ibumu.
Beliau terus bertanya: Kemudian siapa?. Rasulullah s.a.w bersabda:
Kemudian ayahmu.
(Hadis disepakati bersama oleh Imam Bukhari dan Muslim).

Pengajaran Yang Boleh Diambil Dari Hadis:
1. Keagungan hak dua ibubapa di dalam Islam.
2. Wasiat supaya berbakti kepada ibu lebih banyak disebabkan oleh kelemahan dan keperluannya.
3. Penghormatan kepada kerabat tidak harus dalam kadar yang sama

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
A person came to Allah's Messenger (May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said:
Who among the people is most deserving of a fine treatment from my
hand? He said:
Your mother. He, again, said: Then who (is the next one)? He said:
Again it is your mother (who deserves the best treatment from you). He
said: Then who (is the next one)?
He (the Holy Prophet, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)
said: Again, it is your mother. He (again) said: Then who? Thereupon he
said: Then it is your father.
(Agreed-upon)

Lessons deduced:
1- Islam greatly acknowledges and stresses the parents' rights.
2- Islam gives mothers extra importance due to their weakness and dependence.
3- There are many degrees of honoring relatives.
